Plano,Texas – “Global Grace: Teas Around the World” was the theme of this year’s Mother-Daughter Tea hosted by Chi Zeta Omega Chapter in conjunction with Pearls of Service, Incorporated (501c3) on March 26, 2011 at Reflections on Spring Creek. And grace was the theme of the day, as finely dressed sorority members, mothers and guests dawned their beautiful hats in celebration of the special bond between mothers and daughters. Each debutante’s mom sat proudly as the debutantes honored them with talent presentations and showered them with heart-felt words of thanks for their love and support.
The Mother-Daughter Tea is one of the highlights of the Debutante Cotillion Season. The season begins during a girl’s junior year, and culminates with a Debutante Ball where the young ladies are presented to society in the Spring-Semester of their senior year. While in the program, members participate in interactive workshops, attend field trips, plan and participate in special events, prepare for successful college careers and provide service to the community. Each of the debutantes is also paired with a member of Chi Zeta Omega Chapter to act as a mentor during their journey to finer womanhood. During the Tea, the mentors honored their debutantes with a rose-presentation and words of admiration.
This event was a lovely precursor to the Cotillion where the debutantes will be presented on April 16,2011.
