Greetings,
I have the most distinct honor of serving as Chi Zeta Omega’s 5th President for the 2011-2012 administration. I am blessed and filled with excitement to give my talents and time to the FIRST and BEST sorority in the world.
As we migrate into supporting the newest administration of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc., I am overjoyed to lead Chi Zeta Omega chapter to accomplish the objectives coming from our 28th National President, Carolyn House-Stewart.
Over the past 8 years, Chi Zeta Omega has been guided by exceptional leadership that has warranted us local, regional and national visibility, awards, partnerships, grants and an overwhelming sense of confidence and accomplishment amongst members in the chapter. We must forge on. We must continue to build our bond amongst our members worldwide. We must continue to build leaders in the community.
While our work of the past has indeed expanded our outreach; we will turn our spotlight to those activities that we have done well, fine-tune them to accommodate the new international platform, and implement them with the vitality that invigorates our sisterhood. In the process, we will build more solid procedures around our notable events and programs that will ensure we operate effectively and efficiently for years to come. We will build leaders in our youth offering opportunities to empower our children with the tools and knowledge they need to proclaim their future. We will build our leadership internally by conducting more training to ensure we are equipped with the necessary components needed to lead the chapter and enhance our own professional skills.
Thank you for the opportunity to lead Chi Zeta Omega to SERVE ALL MANKIND. I look forward to serving with you.
Sisterly,
Shelby Reece
